Radium Letterpress Concertina Booklet

Radium Letterpress Concertina Booklet
The element is Radium with symbol Ra and atomic number 88.

All isotopes of radium are highly radioactive, with the most stable isotope being radium 226,
which has a half-life of 1601 years and decays into radon gas. Because of such instability, radium
is luminescent, glowing a faint blue or green. Radium is intensely radioactive. It readily
oxidizes on exposure to air, turning from almost pure white to black. Radium is luminescent, corrodes in water to form radium hydroxide.

The design has a green and dark green/black cover, divided by four squares. I was
trying different backgrounds, I wanted them to be sinister looking because radium is highly radioactive and very dangerous for all living creatures.

The letterpress technique was used to create this booklet. I played with textures and various letterpress methods to achieve the result.
